Unlike event-triggered conventional fire detectors and many other addressable fire detection systems, TANDA smoke and heat detectors operate as always-on system nodes. They provide 24/7 continuous monitoring, real-time data transmission, and ongoing communication with the fire alarm control panel.

This means that even in the absence of a fire or alarm condition, the detectors continuously transmit status and operational data to the fire alarm control panel.
